  1. Vasai Fort: Vasai Fort is a historical fort that was built in the 17th century by the Portuguese as a defense against the Mughals. It is located on the banks of Vasai Creek and it is one of the few remaining Portuguese monuments in India.

The fort has been renovated and converted into a tourist destination which attracts thousands of visitors every year. The fort offers food, drinks and accommodation to visitors who want to explore it.

           The fort even has a museum that showcases its history as well as that of other forts in             Maharashtra.

  1. Tungareshwar Waterfall & Temple: Tungareshwar Waterfall is a sightseeing place in Vasai. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vasai. It is situated near the Mumbai-Goa Highway, which makes it easily accessible from Mumbai and Goa.

The waterfall has a height of about 80 feet and falls from a height of about 100 feet. The Tungareshwar temple, which is situated nearby, was built by Peshwa Bajirao I in 1740 A.D. The temple has an idol of Lord Shiva and Parvati on its premises.

It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vasai because it falls from a height of about 100 feet and has a height of about 80 ft., making it easily accessible from Mumbai or Goa as well as other parts of Maharashtra like Pune or even Gujarat like Ahmedabad or Rajkot etc.

  1. Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary: The Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area in Maharashtra, India and is home to many species of wild animals. The sanctuary is located in the Palghar taluka of the Thane district. The sanctuary covers an area of 5.52 square kilometers. It was declared a wildlife sanctuary on 29 July 1982 and was notified on 20 March 1985.

Vasai, which is also known as Bassein, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area and attracts people from all over India to its serene beaches and lush green hills.

           It is one of the few open spaces left in Mumbai for wild animals to roam free.
